Song, installation and long duration performance
O3 Gallery, Oxford, 2011, in group show Horticulture
Modern Art Oxford, 2008, in group show Obsessions

The themes and sound world of a four minute song were developed into a large-scale installation and long duration performance. The installation in its physical form conflated interior domestic spaces and the exterior natural world.

Domestic upkeep of the space formed part of the performed actions as did other everyday activities including dressing, eating, crafts, reading, sleeping. An ongoing and improvised soundscape was created at all times by live electronic manipulation of the original musical material of the song, alongside found sounds and songs on vinyl, as well as the performance of the song in its entirely periodically on electronics, harmonium and voice.

The performance duration was 8 hours per day.
