Since 2016, Gabriel Bohm Calles and Lisa Busby have been developing a collaborative project through studio based research and development, performance video, live public performances, and gallery installation. With backgrounds in live art/movement and music/sound respectively, the project is a space of friendship and learning, and creates and explores a field of shared activity. Between these disciplines, the artists work with their bodies, voices, instruments, external tools, and sites in ways that blur their performance roles, often highlighting overlooked aspects and entanglements of movement and sound, or remaking expected ones as unfamiliar.

They have engaged with research interests including: highlighting and hacking prosaic and overlooked gesture; everyday materials; unprofessional methods, unheard sounds, and untrained bodies; personal dancefloor and gig experiences, karaoke and ‘pop’ performance; the relationship between the pre-recorded and the live; and the layering, fragmentation and looping of the DJ mix. Recent work developed some playful approaches in obstructions to movement and sounding, and absence and presence of sound in relation to 'the sounding gesture'.

In 2019 and 2017 two very different exhibitions marked significant culminations of this work, and testing grounds for ways to share performance. In 2019, a series of studio performance videos were made for the gallery Verkligheten [Umeå]. In 2017 at IAC [Malmö], visitors had the opportunity to see performance documentation of the scores in physical dialogue with live ongoing development, performance and discussion of existing and new works, in both movement and surround sound.
